Wills and Trusts in Arizona
Prepare a will or trust before your death to protect and support your loved ones. I started working on death claims in 1985, handling forms and listening to clients’ stories. These stories educated me and gave me as much experience as any advanced planning course about wills and trusts in Arizona. The lack of a will or trust, dying intestate, spending up to two years in probate, not to mention the cost of probate, is all unnecessary. My question to you is, “Why would you do this to someone you love?”
Disclaimer
I’m not an attorney or CPA. The information on this page is offered in my capacity as an insurance professional, and these are my personal opinions.
States differ on probate and other estate legal requirements. Please consult an attorney in your state for specific legal advice.
Wills
In 2013, I completed a will for my wife with LegalZoom. Wills are prepared by attorneys in your state, which is why my friend, a lawyer, looked over ours before we had them signed and notarized. This personal experience inspired me to help others in similar situations. Many customers have contacted me once they received a new will and a local attorney has received it, giving me positive reports and no complaints. Additionally, my customers and followers appreciate the much lower cost than if a local lawyer prepared their will.
Besides LegalZoom, my customers recommend another excellent and affordable option: Trust & Will. I am not affiliated with either company and don’t make any money off this recommendation. I share options I have used myself and what others have told me about their experiences. Many other sites also offer wills and trusts, so research which one works best for you and your needs.

Trusts
In some cases, creating a living trust is more appropriate than investing in a will. Trusts are much more expensive but have many additional options and are more precise. Because of the price and complications of trusts, many people put off getting one or seeking help to complete it for themselves. Get a will first, and if you later decide a trust is necessary based on your needs, you can save money and time with both options. This approach is better than leaving your loved ones without protection.
Finding Help
Again, I’m not discouraging the use of an attorney. Sound legal advice is extremely important in making your estate plans. This page aims to explain what I know about wills and trusts and persuade you to act on them. To begin with, I recommend at least getting a will before putting things off any longer.
Whether you want to learn about terminology or the importance of planning for your future, the information on this site is intended to help you start protecting yourself and your family. I highly recommend seeking advice from a licensed attorney in your state to get personal, professional advice and assistance in completing your legal documents.
